My Favorite Superhero!

Hi! Today I´m going to talk about my favorite superhero, but it´s a little complicated to me because when I was a kid I didn´t read the typical superhero comics like Superman, Batman and Spiderman.  So, I´m going to write about three little girls who are also three little superheroes:  The Powerpuff Girls!! 

My favorite powepuff girl is Buttercup; she is a brave girl who always fights with a lot of enthusiasm against the evil monkey Mojo Jojo. She is the strongest of the three, and is the only one who can make fire with her hands and use x-ray vision.

I like it very much because she is always confident of herself, not like bubble who cries a lot, and also she is very funny and a good sister too.

I think that the program “The Powerpuff Girls” represents a lot of values like courage, strength, love, intelligence etc. So, it´s a good way to teaches important things to the children who see and identify with the program.

Who is a person/expert on your field that you admire?

The person that I admire in my career is Carlos Perez Soto, he is a Chilean physicist and he works with a lot of academic areas like philosophy, law and psychology. Now he is making classes at various universities as Arcis, Diego Portales, and in the Law School of the University of Chile.

This year I have to read one of his books: “La condición social de la Psicología” and I like it very much, because is not the typical book that shows you how great is the psychology area, by contrast, Carlos Perez is a very critical academic in the area, and when people can tell you the problems that your field have, you could think about things that were obvious to you before, and now you have the ability to change all that bad things and turn it in a better way.

I wish that all the universities that teach the psychology career could shows to the students the bad things of the field that nobody says to them, because is a very important point of view,  that makes me more interested in the career.

My name is Francisca and I study psychology in University of Chile, this is my second year and I really love it!

If I didn´t choose the psychologic career, I probably would study veterinary because I love everything about animals (I have three at home).
